We would enjoy hearing your voice on one of these topics or a topic of your choosing related to the mission of Gardner-Webb, including its commitment to Christian principles and the development of students -- a task of equipping them with knowledge and a well-rounded desire to pursue faith, service, and leadership.
Here are a few suggestions for writing your Voices selection:
Know Your Audience: This essay needs to be a user-friendly resource for a diverse audience from students to skilled professionals. It needs to distinguish Gardner-Webb’s identity from other universities through words of challenge, inspiration, and reflection.
Know Your Parameters: Keep your essay around 500-800 words. Voices is an opportunity for discussion and interaction between staff, students, alumni, and friends of the University.
Challenge the Reader: Invite their involvement with GWU through your essay.
Hear Other Voices: Click on the Voices link at the top of this page to read other essays.
Make It Personal: Funny, poignant, historical. It’s up to you, but your essay should make clear your perspective on whatever special facet of the University you choose to focus on. Tell a story, explain an idea, or tell how or why you do what you do for GWU.
