Robert White Abrams died on Thursday, December 31, 2009. He served Gardner-Webb University for 23 years where he was an Administrator, including Director of Admissions, Director of Church Relations and Registrar. In addition, he served as pastor to several churches in the Carolinas. He is survived by a son, Lee Abrams; three daughters, Jean A. Haynes, Kay A. Husky, Mary A. Lewis; one brother, Glenn Abrams; one sister, Floy Bryant; and five grandchildren.
