Gardner-Webb University has had its fair share of victories this year, with the announcement of the new John Henry Moss Baseball Stadium, and the largest ever freshman class entering the Gardner-Webb family just to name a couple. And now, as the University nears the end of the 2009 fiscal year, GWU’s extended family – alumni and friends – are close to being among the victors of this fine institution. Records are being broken thanks to GWU alumni and friends, and your amazing support of Gardner-Webb.
GWU’s Annual Fund implemented a new strategy this year, revamping the Phonathon program with the hopes that our connection with the alumni community would grow stronger. And grow stronger it did. You, alumni and friends, have responded to GWU like never before. The response to the Phonathon program, affectionately dubbed the Dialing Dogs, was incredible. The new approach included student callers engaging you in refreshing conversation and enlightening GWU news, adding value to the university’s quest to connect with and garner support from alumni and friends. You have given back to Gardner-Webb with your stories of GWU yester-year, with your inspiration to the students, and with your gifts that aid in our efforts to educate young minds. The impact of alumni generosity and support has been significant.
What victory will alumni celebrate, you ask? What records are being broken, you wonder? Check back in July to find out. You won’t be disappointed.
