Gardner-Webb's Evgeny Slesarev has been ranked 19th in the 2010 season's final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Carolina Region rankings. Slesarev, who started the 2010 season ranked 19th, finished the year with a singles record of 19-3 and 15-10 in doubles play. He was named the 2010 Big South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year and also earned first-team Big South honors for both singles and doubles play.
