The Godbold School of Business and Center For Ethics and Entrepreneurship at Gardner-Webb University invite area high school students to attend its fifth annual Bringing Executives and Students Together (B.E.S.T.) Program. The event is scheduled August 10-12, 8:30 a.m to 2:00 p.m., in the Ritch Banquet Hall, located in the Dover Campus Center. The B.E.S.T. Program is designed to bring together business owners, company executives, and community leaders in Cleveland County with local high school students during this educational event. This year’s program will have special emphasis placed on encouraging, empowering, and energizing students interested in business. Students will have the opportunity to hear real life stories from entrepreneurs and learn business techniques in finance, budgeting, marketing, management, leadership, and production. Representatives were on hand in 2009 from such business fields as banking, county government, hospitals, newspaper, and restaurants. This is a free event but pre-registration is required and the deadline is July 16. For more information contact Natetsa Lawrence at 704-406-2260 or tlawrence@gardner-webb.edu.
