Brittany Jarvis Conner and her husband, Michael, welcomed their first child, Addison Leigh Conner, who was born October 1, 2009. The Conners reside in Richmond, Virginia. E-mail Brittany at theconners1201@gmail.com.

Elizabeth Kennard Kiessling graduated with great distinction from University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California on May 15, 2010. On June 10, 2010, she accepted a commission as a U.S. Navy JAG Officer. After sitting for the California Bar Examination in July, she will attend Officer School and Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island.

Joe Abernathy passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Trident Medical Center. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Abernathy retired from US Life Credit Corporation and World Acceptance Corporation as Senior Auditor. After retirement he was an independent auditor for different banks in and around the Atlanta, Georgia area. Survivors, including his wife, are one son; one granddaughter, two step-sons; one step-daughter; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

Alan Christopher Beam and Lacey Rosalee Fore were married on April 17, 2010 at Salem United Methodist Church in Ballentine, South Carolina. Alan is the Senior Web Designer for Gardner-Webb University and Lacey is employed by Cookout. After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, the couple will reside in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.

Justin Gregory Herold and Pamela Johnson Herold are pleased to announce the birth of their baby girl, Nevaeh Avery Herold, who was born on January 27, 2010.

Kimberly Barnette Greene was recently appointed as Principal of Marion Intermediate School. She worked at Elizabeth Elementary School as a Teacher and Media Coordinator for ten years prior to becoming an Assistant Principal at Shelby Middle School in 2004. She also taught third grade for two years at North Elementary.

David Alan Davis was recently named Newberry College’s 24th men’s basketball coach. He previously served as head men's basketball coach at Pfeiffer University. He received his first head coaching position at his alma mater, Warren Wilson College. He later became head coach at Barton College before his 14 seasons with Pfeiffer.

Jonathan Michael Crockett and Leanna Elliott Mobley were united in marriage at West End Baptist Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Saturday, November 7, 2009. She is an Account Consultant with Benefitfocus in Charleston and he is a Financial Center Leader for BB&T in Summerville, South Carolina. The newlyweds honeymooned at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and now live in Charleston.

David M. Turner received the Doctor of Ministry Degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary on May 14, 2010. His degree focuses on Evangelism & Church Growth with a special emphasis on the personal prayer life of Jesus Christ. David is married to Donna Harvey Turner, a 1982 alumna of Gardner-Webb and they have two children, Dean Jacob and Dana Christine Turner. David currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Corinth Baptist Church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Donna serves as a swim instructor at the YMCA and coaches the Pasquotank County High School swim team.

Jordan Gaither Reich and Tara West Reich are pleased to announce the birth of their first daughter, Matilda Vivian Reich. She was born January 23, 2010.
